How to care for leather clogs
Simple care principles for smooth leather and suede.
Start by identifying the material: smooth leather, oiled leather, suede, nubuck and coated synthetic uppers have different cleaning needs.
Remove loose surface dust with a soft brush or cloth. For smooth leather, follow the maker's approved cleaner and conditioning guidance; test on an inconspicuous area first.
For suede and nubuck, use a suitable dry brush and avoid soaking the upper. Never use strong solvents or high heat to speed up drying.
Air out shoes after wearing them, keep them away from radiators, and allow wet footwear to dry slowly at room temperature. If your pair has cork components, follow the manufacturer's specific sealant-care advice.
