Closed-back styles wrap around the heel and may be more suitable when retention matters. Construction varies: some have stiff leather counters while others are soft slip-on shapes.

Check whether the shoe has an actual slip-resistant outsole if you plan to wear it at work. Always verify workplace footwear rules; a covered heel alone does not prove occupational suitability.
